Being born and raised in DFW, I have been here to see all of the growth and changes, and DFW has quickly emerged as one of the top conference-hosting cities in the nation.

After receiving my B.S. from TCU in strategic communications, I went on to work in marketing for one of the largest residential and commercial developers in the metroplex. Managing everything from TV segments to Google AdWords was an excellent learning experience - but after planning a realtor incentive trip to California in that first year with glowing reviews, I caught the bug.

I then went on to seven wonderful years working for the SMU Cox School of Business, executing large public speaker programs and conferences, while simultaneously getting my MBA in Management.

Another factor that has contributed to being a successful event planner is having worked for eight years in the service industry. It is critical to be able to multitask under pressure, maintain time management, and have the ability to “read the room” and anticipate needs.
